Cheekyhandmades Helps Kids Participate in the Neighbourly Quilt

On Tuesday Jennie of Cheekyhandmades is leading a special kids focused workshop for the Neighbourly Quilt Project. This project for the 2012 E17 Art Trail is asking the Walthamstow community to represent what it means to be a good neighbour on a patch for a patchwork community quilt.

Kids are being invited to answer the question in a variety of media – glue, sparkles, thread, felt, markers etc – from 11-12:30 at the Mill Community Centre on Coppermill Lane. The session is supported by the High Street Ward Forum so that it can be run for a suggested donation of just £3. All supplies will be included. A carer does need to attend with participating children.

Jennie’s distinctive and playful style encourages kids to express themselves. Bring them along for this workshop – Tuesday, 11- to 12:30.
